Since launching in 2020, Powering Futures has worked with more than 7,000 young people and engaged with over 180 Scottish businesses.

125 secondary schools across Scotland are actively engaging with Powering Futures. Which is over one third of schools in the country.

Businesses and volunteers are now partnered with schools and engaging with them at regular intervals throughout.

Of the young workers who have taken part in the programme in businesses, many have been promoted - increasing influence on their company’s sustainability processes.

Vitally, many participating businesses have implemented solutions presented by their young colleagues demonstrating the power of authentic engagement, such as Lothian Buses, Seafood Scotland, Scottish Water and SSEN Transmission.
