Power in Partnership: A Showcase of Student Innovation with Booth Welsh

Over the final presentations, we had the privilege of witnessing an inspiring event as students from nine local schools came together to showcase the results of their hard work throughout the academic year.

Hosted by our fantastic partners at Booth Welsh, the final Powering Futures showcase allowed young people to present their innovative solutions to some of today’s most pressing sustainability challenges, such as homelessness, public transport, and community wellbeing. The creativity and thoughtfulness on display were truly uplifting.

We were particularly impressed by the students from St Matthew’s Academy and Grange Academy, whose projects demonstrated not only innovation but a genuine desire to make a positive impact in their local communities. Gavin had the honour of sitting on the judging panel and left the event feeling incredibly optimistic about the future of leadership.

A huge thank you to all the students, teachers, and partners who made this event possible, and to Booth Welsh for hosting such a powerful day of collaboration and celebration.

At Powering Futures, we are committed to empowering young people to lead change, and this event reminded us of just how much potential there is when we support them in shaping a better future.
