Deep Listening Challenge

Before you begin

This deep listening challenge forms part of the Graduate FastTrack pre-work and should be completed before the programme starts.

You will watch some videos and learn the technique, practise, then reflect. You can choose when you do the challenge, however once you start the link will be active for 72 hours. Make sure you give youself enough time.

The Deep Listening Challenge learning materials can be accessed through the app below.

What is the challenge

Listening is one of the most valuable communication skills you can develop, and one of the hardest to evidence to an employer. This challenge gives you the principles of Deep Listening, a real-world practice opportunity, and a structured reflection to submit. By the end, you'll have something genuine to say about your communication skills, and the experience to back it up.

Why this is valuable

When an employer asks about your communication skills, the well runs dry fast. Generic answers only go so far. By completing this challenge you'll be able to talk about your communication skills with a depth and specificity that makes you stand out.
