Who this is for
FastTrack is for 4th year students who want to build more experience and evidence of what they can do.
We're looking for committed people who are willing to put themselves forward, work with others on something real, and demonstrate what they're capable of.
Limited to 50 places.
What you'll do
Over eight weeks, you'll work in a team of four on a real challenge set by an industry partner.
You'll meet employers, research the problem, develop a solution and present your thinking to industry.
Every stage is designed to reveal what you're capable of, including strengths you may not know you have.
What you'll gain
Evidence: real examples of how you work to use in applications and interviews.
Network: relationships with professionals before you're in a formal recruitment process.
Career direction: a clearer sense of which role you want or greater confidence in the direction you're already taking.

Programme Overview
THE COMMITMENT
Eight weeks, built around your studies
FastTrack combines three in-person sessions with independent team work between them.
You'll work with the same team throughout, moving from understanding the challenge through to developing and presenting your response.
Between sessions, you'll have clear activities and guidance to keep the work moving. Some are completed as a team, while others are individual activities designed to help surface how you think, work and contribute.
Plan for around four hours a week outside the in-person sessions.

Weekly Schedule.
Pre-work
Complete three introductory tasks that will set you up for success.
Kickoff
Live in-person launch event with interactive workshops. You will meet your team, be assigned your challenge, and get stuck in.
Research
Each team member conducts their own research and brings their findings to the in-person event in Week 3.
Reconvene & Plan
Together with your team, work through a structured framework to land on a solution direction.
Create Solution
Meet in person or online to work with your team to build the solution and shape your presentation.
Develop Solution
Continue to work with your team to enhance and develop your solution.
Peer Review
Present your rough presentation and receive structured feedback from other teams.
Prepare
Refine your presentation and have a final run through as a team before the showcase.
Present
Present your solution with your team at the final showcase. A chance to network with businesses, get feedback, and celebrate your achievement.

The quick questions

No. FastTrack is designed for people who haven't yet had the chance to prove how they work in a real business setting. Curiosity matters more than your CV.

Plan for around 4-5 hours a week across live sessions and team work. It's intense but designed to fit around studies or job hunting.

Three sessions are in-person in Aberdeen. The other five weeks run online and fit around your schedule.
